Széchenyi Thermal Bath
The Széchenyi Thermal Bath is one of Europe’s best-known and largest bath complexes. It is fed by thermal water from deep artesian wells beneath the City Park. The imposing Neo-Baroque building was designed by Győző Czigler and opened in 1913.
In the outdoor pools of the “Szecska”, it is a common sight year-round that guests play chess in the steaming water. On selected Saturday evenings, the atmosphere shifts as Sparty pool parties take over, with electronic music, laser and light shows transforming the baths into a vibrant nighttime venue.
