Astoria
Astoria is one of the most important urban junctions in downtown Budapest, where the historic city fabric and everyday urban life meet. The square takes its name from the Astoria Hotel, which has shaped the identity of the area since the early 20th century.
Astoria lies along the Small Boulevard, where trams, metro lines, and pedestrian routes intersect, making it one of the city’s busiest yet instantly recognizable points.
The surrounding buildings still evoke the atmosphere of turn-of-the-century Budapest, while the square remains in constant motion: daytime traffic flow, evening meeting point, and by night part of the city’s rhythm.
