The Rudas Thermal Bath is one of Budapest’s oldest and best-known Turkish baths, located at the foot of Gellért Hill on the Buda side of the Danube. It was built in the 16th century during the Ottoman occupation.

Its central feature is the historic Turkish bath hall, where light filtering through the small glass windows of the dome illuminates the octagonal pool and surrounding stone columns. This section remains one of Budapest’s most authentic Ottoman-era architectural spaces.

In recent years, Rudas Bath has undergone major renovation. The historic bath is now complemented by a modern wellness wing and a panoramic rooftop pool overlooking the Danube, offering views of Liberty Bridge and the Pest embankment.
